Our Camp - The Details

We're having an overnight camp in the beautiful Conondale National Park to enjoy some fun and fellowship together as brothers in Christ, and to grow in our faith as we are taught from the Bible by our guest speaker, Mike O'Connor.

What to bring:

  • warm sleeping bag or blankets, bottom sheet and pillow
  • warm clothing (it might be cold! Nights could be down between 0-5deg C!)

  • Personal items for the duration of the camp (towels, toiletries, etc.)
  • Raincoat
  • torch
  • closed walking shoes

  • Bible, notebook and pen (note: there is no mobile phone coverage, and limited power. Hard copy Bibles are recommended)

Transport:

  • 4WD: 1h30 via Kenilworth from Grace
  • 2WD: 2h via Kilcoy from Grace

If you can help with lifts, or if you need a lift, please let us know.

Our Speaker - Mike O'Connor

Mike is the Senior Pastor at Rockhampton Presbyterian Church and currently completing a Master of Arts in Theology. Mike is married to Corinne and has two children Joel (10) and Emily (6). Mike loves teaching the Bible, he enjoys roasting and brewing his own coffee, reading books, traveling overseas and watching test cricket.

Our Talks - Sacrifice. Speak. Serve.

In a world of uncertainty and increasing doubt, Jesus’ radical call to follow him has never been more urgent for his disciples to hear and to reconsider. Over the two days, and in our Sunday services on 18 June, Mike will be taking us through four key passages from Mark’s Gospel and Philippians about what it means to count the cost of being disciples of Jesus in our current age of confusion and chaos.
